The prevention of falls is becoming increasingly important today as more and more people are suffering from injuries caused by a trip or a slip. Injurious falls are much more common in older people but are not confined to this age group. As we age, our bodies become frailer and a fall in your twenties that could have left a nasty bruise can now leave you with a broken hip, wrist or knee.

Preventing falls can be done in a variety of ways. My role as a postural stability instructor lets me focus on the physical factors that contribute to a person falling. With the right combination of exercises focusing on balance, endurance and strength, it has been proven that people are far less likely to fall. The exercises focus on specific daily activities you would do in everyday life and not only make these tasks easier but increase your confidence when going about your day.

Falls Prevention is an extremely flexible service, and can be carried out in both a class and one to one format. For more information please visit the Contact pages.
